Should the UN be taken out of climate change debates?
asked 30 weeks ago in Climate Policy
No, the UN has been a driving force in global climate change events over the past few decades. If anything, the WTO and IMF should betaken out, because these orginizations are basically puppets to the wealthier nations who fund them.
Without the UN, we would not have the Millenium Developement goals, we would not have the Kyoto Protocal, and there would be no Copenahgen meeting either. Almost all progress madein recent history involving global environmental reform has come because of UN intervention.
