[img_assist|nid=193045|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=394|height=304]Sept. 9, 2010 (GreenAnswers) – Colorado Four Mile Canyon fire evacuees and Boulder residents are preparing for another onslaught from the brush fire that is burning in that area. As winds are expected to increase to 60 mph gusts on Thursday night, roads and neighborhoods that were reopened or on the verge of being reopened have been re-closed.
Additionally, residents in parts of the town of Boulder are being warned to prepare their properties for the fire and to get ready to evacuate if need-be. The Vail Daily Press is reporting that residents have been told to clear brush and other flammable materials from their properties. The city has also been urgently clearing tall grass and brush from public spaces.
Currently the fire is only 30% contained and firefighters are concerned that this progress could be lost if the anticipated wind gusts cause the fire to jump the lines.
